Return Policy

Return Policy Effective Date 10/07/2019
WARRANTY

The obligation of Moparts, Warrantor, is limited to replacement or refund ONLY as provided herein.  There are no other warranties either expressed or implied, and the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited to the same duration as the limited warranty provided herein.  Warrantor shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages including but not necessarily limited to losses caused by delay in the installation of any warrantor's product, or for the transportation or any other charge incurred in the repair or replacement of a defective item, or removal or use of this merchandise unless specifically provided so herein, or specifically provided for in an accompanying document.  Moparts accepts no responsibility for any consequences resulting from installation on vehicles operating beyond Canadian or US speed limits, or vehicles used in off-road applications.

Moparts is not responsible or liable for labour fees associated with the installation, removal, modification, painting, or repair of any product purchased regardless of the circumstances. Moparts is not responsible for any damage or discoloration incurred in relation to chemical products being used including cleaners, waxes, polishes, paints, etc.

There is no guarantee on moving parts such as engines, transmissions, rear ends, steering gears, water pumps, distributors, wiper motors.  If any product is modified, altered, painted, installed or disassembled in any way without our expressed written permission, the item is non-returnable.

Unless specified, all products are warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 60 days from the invoice date.  Customer is responsible for shipping all items covered by this warranty.  Electrical items are covered by a 30 day EXCHANGE ONLY WARRANTY.   No refunds on electrical items.


MANUFACTURER & PRODUCT SPECIFIC RETURN INFORMATION

In an effort to provide a great customer experience, we accept returns on almost all of the products that we sell.  There are however, a few exceptions that are outlined below.  Most of these policies are instituted by the manufacturer, and there are no exceptions.  If you do not agree to these policies, please contact us as soon as possible to cancel these items off of your order.  Submitting an RMA form confirms your agreement to our policies.  If you have any questions about our return policy please do not hesitate to contact us.

American Autowire Branded Products are subject to a 20% restocking fee if returned for any reason and customer will be responsible for all shipping charges.

Auto Custom Carpet Branded Products are custom configured to your specific vehicle.  Custom items are not returnable. Please ensure that you have ordered the correct color, as we will not be responsible for an item that was ordered in the wrong color.

Covercraft Branded Products are subject to a 30% restocking fee if returned for any reason and customer will be responsible for all shipping charges.  If a product develops a defect covered by the warranty during the policy period, the end consumer is responsible for contacting Covercraft to file a claim.  The end consumer will be required to ship the product back at their expense.  Upon receipt, the product will undergo a comprehensive inspection. If it meets the warranty criteria, Covercraft will either replace or repair the item at their discretion.  If a product was previously replaced under warranty, it remains eligible for replacement or repair. The original purchase date by the end consumer will determine the policy period, not the date of replacement. Some products may be excluded.

Custom Autosound Products are not returnable.  If your radio does not work properly because of a defect in material or workmanship within one year of purchase, Custom Autosound will either repair or replace it free of charge. Additionally we provide an additional year (two years total) of warranty coverage for parts. Details of our warranty coverage are listed below.  During the 1-year “Labor” Limited Warranty period there will be no charge for labor. During the 2-year “Parts” Limited Warranty period, there will be no charge for parts. This Limited Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and only covers product purchased as new. A purchase receipt or other proof of the original purchase date is required for Limited Warranty service. This warranty does not extend to the elimination of car static or motor noise correction, antenna problems, costs incurred for removal or reinstallation of product, or damage of tapes, speakers accessories or car electrical systems. Water, oil or any other liquid damage is not covered under warranty. This warranty does not apply to any product or part thereof which has been damaged through alteration, mishandling, misuse, neglect, or accident. 

Distinctive Industries Products are not returnable.  An RMA can be created for a Distinctive Indistries product only if the item received was incorrect or defective as determined by the manufacturer.

Lectric Limited Branded Products are subject to a 30% restocking fee if returned for any reason and customer will be responsible for all shipping charges.  Lectric Limited does not allow returns after 90 days.

Lloyd Mat Branded Products are subject to a 50% restocking fee if returned for any reason and customer will be responsible for all shipping charges.  Please ensure that you have ordered the correct color, as we will not be responsible for an item that was ordered in the wrong color.

All interior Soft Goods are subject to a 30% restocking fee if returned for any reason and customer will be responsible for all shipping charges.  Please ensure that you have ordered the correct color, as we will not be responsible for an item that was ordered in the wrong color.

Fiberglass & Sheet Metal Parts may arrive with scratches, dings, small dents and other minor imperfections which are considered normal characteristics due to the nature of the product.  These imperfections will be easily corrected during the filling, priming and sanding phase of installation. Moparts does not consider dings, scratches, minor dents or other imperfections on sheet metal or fiberglass to be defects in the panel nor are they considered damage.  All sheet metal panels, fiberglass & urethane bumpers, and fiberglass panels require some sort of preparation and manipulation during installation.

Wheels cannot be accepted for return once mounted and / or used.  Damaged / incorrect wheels are considered accepted as received and can not longer be exchanged or returned.  Please make sure you always test-fit your wheels on both front and rear of your vehicle before mounting tires.  If a fitment issue is present, Moparts will require pictures of the fitment issue and will not cover any labour costs incurred.

Due to safety regulations, seatbelts are not returnable.

Electrical Items, Custom Painted Products, Embroidered Products, Glass, Complete Bodies, Complete Front and Rear Ends, Special Order Items, Differentials, Axles, Wheels, Tires, Literature, CD and DVD Items, Videos, Printed Materials, Stencil Kits, Decals & Stickers, Stripe Kits, Gauges, Switches, Seatbelts, Blemished and Used Parts are not returnable.


FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • My Part Didn't Fit or I Received the Incorrect Part: Manufacturers may use different designs than original equipment (to reduce cost, improve performance, fit additional applications, etc.) so the part you received may look different than your original. Sometimes manufacturers make minor changes without changing the part number so the part may look slightly different than the picture in our catalog, but the fit and function should be the same.  If the difference is beyond cosmetic and the part will not work for your vehicle, report the problem below.  Don't try to alter it or force it to fit.  This will void your return.   Do not send back the part at your cost.  You will not be reimbursed for your shipping costs, and the package will be treated as a return for refund, and you will only be refunded for the cost of the returned item.
     
  • I'm Missing a Part: Your order may arrive in separate boxes.  Verify you have received all of your packages by reviewing the information on your order status page along with your packing lists.  Ensure that no items are on backorder.  Open all of your packages and open each part.  Sometimes we tape small parts to other boxes or put them inside other product boxes.  If you still cannot find the part, report the problem below.
     
  • The Part I Received is Broken, Damaged or Defective: To help us determine the cause of the damage and tell us how you would like to proceed, report the problem below.
     
  • Am I Responsible for Return Shipping: In most cases the answer is Yes.  The only exceptions to this are if you received a part number that is not what you ordered, an item arrived defective, or if the manufacturer confirms our catalog information is incorrect.

RETURNS FOR EXCHANGE OR CREDIT

All items returned for exchange credit or refund must be accompanied by an RMA number.  Please login to your account or contact one of our care agents to complete the RMA form.  Moparts will not accept any returns without an RMA number.  

Products may be returned for a full refund, credit or exchange within 30 days of receipt.  All returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee after 30 days.  No returns after 1 year (365 Days).

  • Items being returned must be new and unused and include the original part number and packaging.
  • Core items must be returned in the packaging that your new part came in.  We cannot refund a core without the original packaging.  Cores must be returned within 60 days of receipt.
  • Items returned not in the original packaging are subject to a 50% restocking fee.  
  • Items returned not in a condition to be resold will be returned at the customer's expense. 
  • Refunds will be issued in the amount of the product’s purchase price in the form of the original payment method.
  • Return packages must be sent shipping charges prepaid. Outgoing or incoming shipping charges will NOT be refunded. COD packages will not be accepted.
