Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and protect painted surfaces with masking tape or covers.
- Remove the exterior trim/molding and the old weatherstrip carefully using a trim tool; cut away any bonded sections with a utility knife.
- Clean the windshield flange and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol, removing old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion; let dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip against the windshield flange to confirm orientation and length; trim excess if necessary.
- If recommended, apply a thin bead of automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the flange channel in short sections to prevent premature curing.
- Starting at the top center, press the weatherstrip into the flange channel and work outward toward each corner, seating the bulb and lip fully. Use a rubber mallet or block of wood to evenly tap the seal into place without stretching it.
- Insert the exterior molding into the weatherstrip's trim groove, ensuring it snaps in securely and lines up evenly.
- Trim any excess material, clean off excess adhesive, and allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer directions before driving.
